Short Term Goals

Continue to gain skills as a medical educator and prepare for a career in medical education

Develop varied curriculum with a focus on procedural education for Internal Medicine Residents and Pulmonary Fellows

Continue to build medical education research skills and build my portfolio of scholarly work

  • Build my qualitative research skills through completion of an exploratory, qualitative study, funded by the CHEST Foundation, is intended identify aspects of Reflection Rounds (guided reflective session in the ICU) that contribute to trainees’ subjective wellness or lower self-reported burnout. A project currently funded by a joint grant from the CHEST Foundation and APCCMPD.

  • Further gain qualitative research skills, including participating in monthly qualitative research consult group meetings at the VA Puget Sound.

Long Term Goals

Pursue Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship, with plans for practice in an academic setting

Develop varied procedural curriculum for residents and fellows as a Pulmonary/Critical Care faculty member in academic institution

Serve in a leadership role in a Graduate Medical Education program
